The Aqua Rite automatically sanitizes yourswimming pool by converting the salt into free chlorine which kills bacteria and algae in theswimming pool. They automatically produce pure chlorine every day while theswimming pool is being filtered and distribute it evenly throughout theswimming pool via the return jets. The operation requires a low concentration of salt (sodium chloride) in theswimming pool water. These levels are low enough that it normally will not be tasted. Chlorine will revert back to sodium chloride after killing bacteria. These reactions will continuously recycle virtually eliminating the need to add sanitizing chemicals to yourswimming pool.
You may need to add more salt to theswimming pool is when water is replenished due to backwashing, draining, or splashing (not evaporation).
Aqua Rite generators use a low concentration of salt dissolved in theswimming pool water (below the level of taste) to produce up to 1.45 lbs of chlorine daily, enough for all residentialswimming pools up to 40,000 gallons.
